Amy Dotson is the Deputy Director and Head of Programming for the Independent Filmmaker Project, a 35-year old nonprofit organization that champions the future of storytelling by connecting artists with essential resources at all stages of development and distribution.

Amy oversees all programming for the organization, including their signature Labs programs, as well as their recently launched Screen Forward exhibition initiative. Amy works in the veritable epicenter of the current independent film landscape, which affords her a bird's eye view from which to deliver this year's SIFF Catalyst Keynote, covering everything from new modes of film funding, disruptive distribution models, the value of mentorship, and emerging trends in the ever-changing world of indie film.
